ImageMagick is an image manipulation and display software suite supporting a wide variety of formats, released under a General Public License compatible license. ImageMagick includes an X Window GUI front end for rendering images, command line utilities for image processing and API libraries for many programming languages. The program uses magic numbers to identify image file formats which is why "Magick" appears in the name.

MediaWiki uses ImageMagick to create image thumbnails.

GraphicsMagick is a fork of ImageMagick 5.5.2 emphasising the cross-release stability of the programming API and user interface.
